For starters, the chips and salsa are excellent! For dinner, I had the dish with 2 chicken quesadillas plus rice and beans. The quesadillas were huge and loaded with chicken and cheese, and they were delicious. The beans and rice were typical for a Tex-Mex restaurant and were barely warm when they arrived. I would pass on them in the future. They had a special on lime marguerites, so I ordered one. It was rather weak in tequila flavor. The service was very good and the price quite reasonable. I would eat here again if the opportunity arises.
- Spoiler alert: We walked out of the restaurant!
Large portions, amazing food, fast service. You will not regret eating here.
I am submitting this because there are still five stars up and we just left there without eating. The chips that we're free were stale and my drink never came. Just to let you know that I am not some snob or somebody that is super picky, I have never walked out of a restaurant before in my life and I am 55. But when the appetizer came and it was made with the same stale chips, the ones that you can smell or stale, we knew it was a bad sign. When immediately the food came, still not quite ready to leave , and all the meat was made from canned me I think that's what it came from it was very liquidy and not drained. Yuck yuck yuck....... What is not one meal of ours that was yucky but all three and this better lower it to at least a 4-star because it is no way in my expectations of five-star
Everything is Good enough to try once a year. Just not the quality I expect. The margaritas are mainly mix. My first visit, everything was bland, second visit was a bit better, third visit I was given my meal but not how it was described in the menu... Enjoy the idea of having a Mexican restaurant in town, but it's let me down so far. 20 minutes between water fill ups, and the wait staff is sometimes the the cook and cashier. I wouldn't mind that if I didn't have to stare at our food getting cold on the counter, and my margaritas getting watered down by ice.
Visiting from Ohio, we stopped in to eat here. Let me walk you through our experience. First, we were greeted by a woman who had to write our order down on a piece of cardboard because she had no paper. Second, we were given chips and salsa. The restaurant was empty, which should have signaled to us that this wasn't a good place. We requested a cup of queso, and that came pretty quickly. We immediately could smell the stale chips but decided to try and eat them anyway. The queso tasted... Interesting compared to queso I've had at any other Mexican restaurant. The queso nor the salsa were enough to mask the stale taste. The stench and taste of those chips remained in my mouth until we went somewhere else. Third, we go to order our food and our waitress was asking us questions about the menu that she should have known. "What comes in that, chicken or beef?". Once our appetizer arrived, we asked if it were made with the same stale chips and the server told us "no", which turned out to be a lie. We sent it back and told our server that it was not edible. We should have walked out right then, but wanted to keep and open mind. All while this is happening, our margarita has not arrived. But shortly after, our entrees arrived. To my relief, the server came back to inform us that beans were supposed to be part of the entree, and that they would be brought to us. Whoops! By this point, I am upset looking at my plate. It looked like whoever prepared it had just thrown the salad on since it was all over the plate and covering my chimichanga. The meat inside was clearly canned meat because the juice from the can was running out it. Gross. Meanwhile, still no margarita!!!! The tortilla from my chimichanga wasn't even steamed to make it soft. The beans were sour at best and after asking the two people that were with me, we decided that we were not paying for food that we cannot eat. We politely walked up and informed them that we were not able to eat their food. The man at the register was nice. But he then tried to charge us for the margarita that we NEVER received. Needless to say, we did not pay for anything. I've never walked out of a restaurant before. That was an absolutely terrible experience. We drove down the street to KFC and ate there instead. Save your money. Save your time. Save your friends from having the same experience. GO ELSEWHERE.
